Event Navigation
I am pleased to invite you to a very special event in our area. If you want to improve your floral arranging abilities this is a class for you! A rose arrangement judging class will be given by the NCNH District Rose Society to interested participants on Saturday, February 16, 9am to 6 pm. at the Shepard Garden & Art Center, 3330 McKinley Blvd. You need not be a member of any club or organization to attend. If you have an interest in improving your ability to improve your own floral arrangements this class is for you. You will learn the principles of design and how they are applied to floral arrangements. This class does use American Rose Society judging criteria, which is very close to the National Garden Club standards of judging. This is a chance to relax and participate in a stress-free environment.
The instructors,Barbara Gordon and Dolores Moffat are rose enthusiasts, judges and award winning arrangers. They will be traveling to our area from the San Francisco Bay Area to provide this special opportunity. We will learn how judges score arrangements by using the American Rose Society Rubric. You will be seeing floral arrangements created by Dolores and Barbara which are award winning and absolutely stunning!
Registration can be done at the door between 8:30 to 9 am, cost is $45 for the day which includes lunch of sandwich choice (beef, ham, tuna or turkey) on white or brown sliced bread. Checks may be payable to NCNH District Rose Society.
(The test is on Sunday for those that want to become a rose arrangement judge for an extra $10.)
As Barbara says, “Think roses”!
