“Gardens of Folsom”

The 18th Annual Garden Tour of the Folsom Garden Club Saturday & Sunday, April 28 & 29, 2018 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Need some garden inspiration?

Follow the road to the “Gardens of Folsom” 2018 garden tour!

You will see examples of diverse gardens – including both plantings and hardscapes to get your gardening creative juices flowing.  This years’ tour features some unique gardens filled with lush textures and colors, patios, swimming pools and fountains, kitchens and outdoor rooms. There’s even a putting green, Folsom Bulldog firepit, and wood pizza ovens.  The beautiful gardens range from functional – where everything is useful, providing food or comfort, to entertaining- where there is not just gardening to do but games to play and things to learn.

Visit the plant sale at the Guiseppe Murer House and Learning Center.  Add plants grown by the Folsom Garden Club volunteers and enjoy baked goods they made for the ever popular bake sale. Plus, visit with Club members, artists painting in the gardens and Master Gardeners who are ready to answer any questions.

Tickets are $20 for attendees 16 and over, and include a descriptive brochure and a map of the tour route. The tour will be held “Rain or Shine” with no refunds. Tour details and tickets can be purchased at www.folsomgarden.org, or call 916-205-3720.

The 2018 Garden Tour is the major fundraiser for the Folsom Garden Club. Funds raised are returned to the Folsom community in the form of grants for local horticultural projects and scholarships. The tour, started in 2001, has awarded $57,200 in scholarships. The grant program, started in 2012, contributed $30,335 to local schools for school gardens and other Folsom community projects. A complete list of grant and scholarship awardees can be found on our website.

The Folsom Garden Club, a non-profit organization founded in 1934, is celebrating 84 years of providing educational programs that benefit Folsom. We have a large and active membership that maintains the Folsom Garden Club Park, and performs many varied public service projects.
